Out of state buyers can get a health certificate at the event from our vet, all horses will have coggins in the sale. We can help you with shipping logistics if you need it.

The MMM is two days this year, Friday September 18 and Saturday September 19, starting at 8am both days! It’s held at the Rio Blanco Fairgrounds in Meeker, CO.
The auction will be in the grandstands immediately after the awards ceremony - 5pm - bidding is available live and online. Horses will sell in the order they place in competition - 1st place horse will sell first and so on.
Tickets are $5 per person/per day - available on Eventbrite, or $8 at the gate, kids 12 and under are FREE
Bidders who are already approved by BLM for this event will also be FREE
Yes, the Lions Club and food trucks will have food all day on Friday and Saturday. There will be a fun MUSTANG MINGLE dinner, dance and silent auction to meet the trainers on Friday night, cost is $35. Drinks available for purchase.

Only if you are a trainer or with the Westernaires: with the larger number of teams and the Mustang Only Horse Show this year, there will be room for only a few trainers can camp at the Fairgrounds. It will be crowded this year so make your reservation NOW!

Bid in person at the auction on Saturday at 5pm at the Fairgrounds, or register to bid on line at LonghornVideoAuctions.com (We may be able to make arrangements for phone bidders if we know in advance) Registered and approved online bidders automatically have a bidder number assigned (if you register online and come to the event in person just let us know that you are registered online and we will make sure your bidder card has the same number) Auction team will be set up in the center of the stands below the crows nest - We will be set up to start handing out bidder cards around 3PM - if you are getting BLM approval at the event they will give you a card to bring up confirming you are an eligable bidder and have their approval completed. Most of our trainers WILL be available to continue training. Check the auction booklet or contact the trainers of the horses you are interested in ahead of time.
Checks, credit card and cash are all available to pay for your horse! Credit card has 3.5% processing fee.

We do not certify these companies or make any guarantees - Thay have been recommended by word of mouth so please use due dilligence when finding the best transportation for your new mustang. Yearlings have historicaly sold for $250 to $2,000, and two year olds $1,000 and up, and three year olds from $1,500 to $20,000
The auction will be Live Bidding as well as online bidding.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: This year’s event will span TWO days;
Friday will be the obstacle courses including a Mustang Only Horse Show with openings to the public.
Saturday will cover Freestyle and Cow work for under-saddle.
For the second year, we will have a class for Adults 17 years old and up for an IN HAND CLASS with 2-year old mustangs.
Mustang Pick-up: Saturday April 25, 2026 at Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds (Fairgrounds) in Meeker, CO. There will be two “Starting Your Yearling Clinics” (Yearling & 3yr old) given by mustang professionals from the morning of pick up day, followed by a 1 and ½ day hands on day camp for all youth giving training tips and getting to know each other (Saturday April 25 and Sunday April 26). It is mandatory for Youth Trainers to attend a “Starting Your Yearling Clinic.”
Trainers will select their own horses by draw, so plan to arrive on Friday, April 24 from noon until 5 p.m. chaperoned viewing only (if you want an early look). Meeker has several hotels (running $100/night) and campgrounds available. Free accommodations at the Fairground. Trainer Information Packets: Will be handed out on Pick-Up Day. Updates will be emailed once trainers are selected and announced as of April 15, 2026.
Event Date: Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19, 2026.
Move In Day: Thursday September 17, 2026 by 3pm at the Fairgrounds.
